Dear Friends,

Alaskans Against the Mining Shutdown thanks each and every one of you for your support during this long campaign.
You made the difference.

With your help, over 95,000 Alaskans who voted to soundly defeat Ballot Measure 4 listened to the facts about the importance of science not politics in our already world class regulatory process and confirmed Alaska's support of the mining industry.

As supporters of AAMS, you volunteered your time at local fairs, waved signs on busy street corners, set up signs in your yards and placed bumper stickers on your vehicles to show your support for Alaska's mining families. Your efforts called attention to the important role mining plays in Alaska’s economy and the strong regulations already in place to protect Alaska’s water and wild salmon.  As Alaskans we have been, and will continue to be, committed to protecting Alaska’s environment now and in the future.

Without your help, we couldn't have hoped to defeat Ballot Measure 4.  We offer our thanks for all you've done.

Sincerely,

Alaskans Against the Mining Shutdown
